| Positive Action in Housing (Charity Reg no SC027577) provides advice, information, and direct practical support to refugees and migrants in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK, including those attempting dangerous journeys through Europe in search of sanctuary in order to overcome a crisis and rebuild their lives.
Positive Action in Housing provides drop ins and outreach surgeries targeting those at risk of poverty and destitution. Our casework teams provide advice, information and representation. We offer crisis support (Emergency Relief Fund) and free shelter in the homes of our volunteers (Room for Refugees). We take referrals from other homeless, refugee and aid organisations, including the British Red Cross, Freedom from Torture, Refugee Council, Refugee Survival Trust, Glasgow Night Shelter and Scottish Refugee Council).
We do not take Home Office funding and maintain a strong level of autonomy in all our work, and particularly in our human rights and anti racist campaigns.
Annually, we assist over 3,750 beneficiaries.
All support is provided freely to anyone seeking help.
