CALL TO ACTION: Your Voice Matters. Tell MPs to Stop the UK's Biometric Siege
Positive Action in Housing is supporting 75 Palestinians trapped in Gaza who are trying to reunite with family in the UK or take up university places.
Instead of protection, they face a biometric blockade:
Others are being refused outright for "failure" to submit biometrics because the process is so complex — no visa centre exists and the borders are sealed.
Lawyers themselves are struggling to navigate the 59-page visa rules, while Palestinians are left in limbo.
The Home Office insists Palestinians can "use existing routes." But these routes are structurally blocked, and each delay means people are starved, bombed, and killed.
"This is not bureaucracy — it is cruelty by design. For Ukrainians, every barrier was lifted. For Palestinians, every door is closed."
— Robina Qureshi, Positive Action in Housing
What We're Demanding.
We are calling on the Home Secretary to:
Grant immediate biometric waivers or deferrals for Palestinians seeking family reunion or student visas in the UK.
Provide a clear evacuation and visa programme for Palestinian students, as other European countries have already done.
Contrary to what MPs are telling our members and supporters there are NO "existing routes" - this is basically a catchall for no way out.
