ADMIN AND FINANCE ASSISTANT
Based in our Glasgow Office with some hybrid working.

DEADLINE: 10 am Monday 13 March 2022
LOCATION: Glasgow
SALARY: £25K per Annum pro rata PLUS 5% PENSION
HOURS 28 hours per week

We are looking for a well-organised, self-motivated person with good bookkeeping skills and experience and knowledge of accounting principles. 
You will assist with the admin and finances of a refugee homelessness charity based in and working from our offices in the centre of Glasgow
You will enjoy working as part of a diverse team to maintain and develop the charity's finance systems. You will be responsible for undertaking accurate and timely recording of income and expenditure, payment of invoices and reclamation of Gift Aid. You will ensure all income and expenditure is accurately named and documentation filed immediately. You will prepare and post general ledger journals and provide regular reports as requested. You will have the skills and aptitude to accurately maintain our computer-based finance records. You will have excellent IT skills and are familiar with spreadsheets, word processing, email and MS Office. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent numeracy skills

Project Assistant (Mental Health Policy Reference Group)
DEADLINE: Monday 21 February 2022
LOCATION: Glasgow, Scotland
SALARY: £25,000 rising to £28,000 HOURS 35 hours per week
CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term role ending 31st March 2024

This exciting Project Assistant role will support the development and delivery of a Mental Health Policy Reference Group of people with lived experience of social inequalities and/or mental health problems. The Mental Health Policy Reference Group will provide a space for people with lived experience to have their voices heard by the Scottish Government on mental health policy. You will support primarily the Senior Participation Officer to recruit group members, organise and deliver induction and training, and organise meetings and accessibility supports to enable members' participation in the group. You will have a key role in liaison with group members.
What does the role involve?
    Being a key point of contact for Reference Group members, answering queries and liaising with them
    Organising accessibility and participation supports for members
    Assisting in developing and delivering induction and training for group members
    Supporting monitoring and evaluation of the project
What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?
    Knowledge and understanding of inequalities and discrimination, and how these impact individuals and communities
    Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
    Experience of organizing meetings or events
    Experience of building effective relationships and working collaboratively with people and organizations across a wide variety of nationalities and backgrounds
