A National Day of Protest to Stop The Rise of Fascism and the Far Right
Dear Members, Supporters and Friends,
The recent surge in racist and Islamophobic violence has left us concerned for our staff team's safety and our service users. These acts of violence instill fear in everyone.
UK asylum policy forbids refugees from working. The Hostile Environment holds hard working immigrants back. These policies have resulted in the loss of billions of pounds in potential tax revenue for this country. Yet somehow, Muslims, migrants and minorities are blamed.
So there has never been a better time to demonstrate that Scotland stands united against the far right. We will be joining thousands of people from across civic society, trade unions, faith groups and anti racists at Stand Up To Racism's National Day of Counter Protest in Glasgow 11 AM Saturday 7 September 2024.
We hope to see you there!
Best wishes,
Robina Qureshi Positive Action in Housing
